I had a new home card to make and really wanted to make it effective but had limited time, so keeping it simple was essential. A quick search of Pinterest proved fruitful and inspiring, and a rummage through my patterned papers gave me the perfect basis for a colour scheme.
Orange and grey worked quite well here and with my Cricut machine it took around 15 minutes, including my attempts at picking out colours from the background paper to match and use for layering. It really didn’t need anything else. Don’t get me wrong, I have a plentiful stash of ribbons, gems and other frippery but sometimes less really is more. My auntie was rather pleased with it too when we took it over today. Job done!
I’ve got that paper stack, it’s one I tend to look at and think ‘this is gorgeous, I should do something with it’ and then put away.

I do that all of the time! I’m such a hoarder but I’m getting better at giving it away.
