There. I said it. Tonight I have had 3 hours of uninterrupted crochet time and I’ve only packed up because I have work tomorrow. I’m up to the start of round 12 of Sophie’s Garden and I just want to keep going because I’m so excited to see how the next part will turn out. It’s almost hypnotic to look at, though I keep finding slight imperfections (I wish I was better at slip stitching to join rounds).
The lilac yarn in round 5 is slightly fuzzy which I hope isn’t going to wreck the appearance of the whole thing. It will need blocking at the end too but I quote like it so far. I used a different lilac for round 11 and it has a smoother finish.
Let’s hope I can keep up the enthusiasm until it’s finished!
(All of my posts seem to be about crochet lately, partly because I have done loads of it and also because the cards I’ve been working on haven’t been sent yet so I can’t share for a few more days!)
What are you working on at the moment?
Proudly linking up this post to Wool On Sundays.
It’s looking wonderful! It’s hard to put a project like this down and do other things like go to work, isn’t it? Lol

More beautiful work-I like to crochet and know what you mean about time-I can’t do what you can! Beautiful-this is going to be one sweet blanket!

Thank you, I’m hoping so! It’s not often I get quite so long to work on a project at once. 😊

I bet-another reason I like rain-on the farm, you get to stay in and not feel guilty about doing what you love a long while!

Thank you, it’s on my last post ‘Sophie’s Garden Part 1’. That takes you to the first part (of many) and there’s links to the rest in there. 😊

It looks beautiful! I love your color choices, they go so well together. My latest project is an afghan with a zig-zag pattern: \/\/\/ Each point has two popcorn stitches. This is the second one I’m making using this particular pattern.

That’s so pretty, and although I can’t actually see any in your pics, I like the odd imperfection, it gives things a more handmade feel to them. Sometimes things can be too uniform. However this is going to be stunning and I can’t wait to see the finished project 🙂
I am working on spiderman bits for my nephews birthday this week.

Chocolate Baileys?! If you are drinking that you won’t want to spill it on your lovely crochet. Obviously I may not have thought this through completely…

I fear you may be psychic, as that is precisely what I am drinking, in a mug of hot chocolate! No crochet though, just blogging at the minute!

Love , love, loving your project! Your colors are amazing and this pattern is fascinating! I’m so anxious to begin on a sweet shawl for a Wild Child and a set of mittens (maybe they will be finished by winter).

I’m working on 2 things at the moment, Mrs Craft! – my patience while I can’t do any needle felting, and my hubby, to let me have a new puppy! Neither is going very well. Getting my crafting fix seeing all the lovely things my fellow crafty bloggers are making!

Thank you! I’ve gone too far now to frog it back. I like different textures too, just wasn’t sure it suited it. Thanks for dropping by. 😊
