My other ramblings

6 Month Blogversary!

When I started this blog exactly 6 months ago, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. (This is the perfect opportunity for a few predictable clichΓ©s about time flying and so on.) I’d made a list of possible blog names and MrCraft helped me to narrow them down. As I entered my details into WordPress with my final name choice and signed up for a blog, not really knowing what to do next, I could never have predicted that I’d enjoy it so much. I didn’t know that there were so many wonderful and friendly bloggers out there, who would make such lovely comments on my posts. I only had a vague idea that I would become obsessed with statistics. I genuinely wasn’t sure that I would still be going 6 months on (though the price I paid for Web hosting meant I’d probably have forced myself to keep going anyway!) My blog has, however, confirmed that I talk a lot; unbelievably this is my 139th post! Maybe I’d better slow down a bit with the photos in posts too, otherwise I’ll have to pay when I run out of storage.

Having a blog has made me reflect on my own creative processes, and made me try out so many things I hadn’t thought of before. I cant wait to see what happens next! (Christmas gifts are already on the cards.) Here’s to another 6 months of crafts (and maybe a few other crazy plans thrown in for good measure!)

  1. Congratulations on 6 months. Blogging is a wonderful way to connect with like-minded crafters. This year marks my 10th anniversary blogging, and some of my blog readers have turned into real-life friends that I’ve had great joy to meet in person. We’d never have crossed paths without the blog.
