Now that these cards have safely reached their recipients I can share them. My mum is a twin, so it seemed fitting that I should make her and her sister similar birthday cards. They both love fairies so I found a fairy printable online which I thought was suitable. It was tricky to find subtle enough embellishments as the colours are so muted and gentle, so I started by using my glue pen to outline the fairy’s dress and the folds in it and adding iridescent glitter.
Once I’d found a fairly neutral toned backing paper I added the images. Because they are non identical twins I added a subtle different by trimming one with the wavy edged blade on my trimmer and one with the straight blade. I then added a cluster of flowers to the corner since they are spring fairies, and a gem to the greeting. They were quite quick and simple cards to whip up, but I love the effect of the glitter edges.

They made a lovely change to Christmas crafting. However, on the topic of Christmas (and glamour!), how dapper do these two little chaps look in their Christmas jumpers? Monkey and Duck’s owners mummy sent me these, they certainly are warm and well dressed teddies!
You are always so inspiring=I just love all of it!

How lovely to get photos of the jumpers! And a break from Christmas crafting is always a good thing! At least now it’s over until next November!

Oh. My. Goodness!!!
The card is delightful and full of charm.
THE MONKEY AND THE DUCK …. I would run off with those in the blink of an eye. They’re adorable by themselves.. but in their jumpers (rompers?) … they are the best things ever in cuddly toy world!!
You couldn’t have made them better. They’re Perfect with a capital P!
Sending love ~ Cobs. x

Love the ‘same but different’ idea for the cards, and they turned out beautifully. I think Monkey and Duck will be grateful for their natty new clothes. They look well loved so maybe have the odd bare bit here and there!
