Thank you so much to Crafty Boutique By Tam for the nomination for this award, it was very kind. Check out her blog for some fantastic home decor ideas!
I’m going to start by answering her questions, which certainly made me think.
- What is your passion? This one is really tricky, although I think I would have to say my passion is anything crafty, I just love to create and make. A close second is teaching; despite the kinks in the current system I do love working in education, just not necessarily some of the politics that go with the job. Craft has been part of my life from being a little girl so I had to put it first!
- If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go? I would go and see the Northern Lights, although I don’t actually like getting cold so I’d have to wrap up warm (great excuse for a crochet hat project). I think it would be amazing to see them, even just once in my lifetime.
- What is your favorite creation? The teddy I made for my son. It is still treasured 4 years on, and he’s only had minor repairs (if you count undoing near decapitation as minor).
- What inspires your creativity? Everything! I get ideas all of the time. Sometimes my ideas arise from a ‘need’, for a card, a blanket, a hat and so on. Other times I just get an idea and then it builds up into a project. The seasons have a big impact on the things I make too.
- You are all creative. As a kid what did you enjoy doing that helped you discover your creativity? Making potions! I must have been a nightmare, I was always mixing various things from the bathroom and/or kitchen in little bowls and sometimes even made things in the garden too. Also, every Saturday we went to my Nanny’s house and I always had a project on the go there. She kept it in a cupboard to the right of the fireplace, and once we’d had a drink and a snack we got on with out craft. She taught me to knit when I was 5, though she must have had the patience of a saint as I was left handed and she was right handed!
- If you could offer a new blogger one piece of advice what would it be? Be patient, keep blogging, enjoy the process and let yourself come through in your posts. It’s your blog in your style, let it shine!
Now for my nominations, I’m not sure how many I’m supposed to do so I’m going for 5 of my favourite super duper creative blogs!
- The Cobweborium Emporium
- Samantha Murdoch Blog
- Just an Old Fashioned Girl
- Beyond the Sphere
- Sue Dreamwalker
My questions for you are:
- What time of day are you most creative?
- If you could try any new creative art, what would it be and why?
- Which famous artist/author/crafter would you like to meet?
- What has been your longest craft project?
- What injuries have you sustained as a result of being creative?
- What was your first ever creative project?
I can’t wait to read the answers to these!
Haha. Ah the potions in the bathroom sink. Imagine all the expense we washed down the sink hole!

I know! What’s worse is I used to take the potions into my room and sometimes got them on the carpet too.

Firstly … Many CONGRATULATIONS on your Blue Sky Tag Award! Doesn’t surprise me … you’re fabulous! So being recognised as such is totally, entirely natural! 🙂
Secondly … I’m SO honoured to be named as one of the blog/people that you’re nominating to hand the award on to! Thank you so much, and bless your beautiful heart.
I shall do a post, and hope that I live up to your expectations. I hope they’re not high, because, as you know, high expectations and blog posts are two completely different things. (for me, at least. lol).
Congratulations, again, and thank you. I feel so honoured.
Sending squidges and love ❤ ~ Cobs. x

Thank you, that’s lovely. I really don’t see myself as inspirational lol, more just another crafter sharing the good and the bad! 😂

Congrats! While I wouldn’t call near decapitation minor, the effort to fix it would be fairly minor I think 🙂

Haha, it wasn’t too bad. Teddy was never intended to have his head/limbs used as part of a sibling tug of war!

Good answers and I love your questions too. I too would love to see the Northern lights but a little further afield than Scotland.

What time of day are you most creative?
I do not think I have a favourite time of day.. Just when I feel inspired to be creative.
If you could try any new creative art, what would it be and why?
I need to master crocheting, because its not yet mastered.. 🙂
Which famous artist/author/crafter would you like to meet?
I would like to meet the wonderful inspirational artist
Akiane Kramarik. Go look up her art on YouTube and you will see why.
What has been your longest craft project?
My longest has got to be a jumper I knitted for my hubby when we first got married.. It took me over a year.. ( as I was still learning those days ) but I had knitted baby clothes in between. ) He then never wore it as I had made the sleeves miles too long.. So I undid it and made two school cardigans out of the wool in later years .. 🙂
What injuries have you sustained as a result of being creative? Several times when I was sewing, both in the factory setting when I first learned my trade at a sewing machine, I got wedged with a needle through my thumb which required a mechanic to dismantle the foot of the machine to free me..
I repeated the process in later years through my finger nail while dress making.. 🙂
What was your first ever creative project?
Hummm now that’s a long while ago… Probably it was a pair of mittens, which I made aged 10 in school.. Which my teacher helped me with the thumb bits.. And if I remember my Mum helped a lot too.. But I had those mittens well after I had outgrown them, just because I was proud I had made them
Hope this answers your list Mrs C…
Thank you for the nomimation.. But I have been an award free Blog since 2015.. But your questions were so good.. I had to answer..
Hope to see you soon..
Love Sue xxx

Bless you, thank you so much for taking the time to answer the questions, I enjoyed reading the answers. I hadn’t realised you were award free as I only read blogs on my phone or tablet so never see the full site. Thanks again x
