I’ll start by confessing that this week I’ve broken my own rules and started another WIP, making a total of 4.
Despite the second sock casting on challenges, I’ve turned the heel and am now onto the foot of Sock 2. I’m hoping that it’ll be completed by the end of the week. You can’t quite see it in the photo, but I’m using a lovely set of stitch markers with woodland animals on. I’ll get a better photo for a future post!
I’ve also made one more square for the crochet blanket but I didn’t take a photo as it looked just the same as the others! I’ve been working on socks more so I’ve not done as much as I’d have liked to. The cosy stripe blanket has also had nothing done to it as it is far too hot for big blankets.
The new ‘naughty’ cast on is a Tin Can Knits Lush cardigan. I fell in love with the pattern when I saw it and knew it was ‘the one’ for my daughter. I’m knitting it in Drops Cotton Merino in mustard, to make a nice autumn cardigan. I’ve done half of the yoke and am now thinking it won’t be big enough so I’m going to knit up half of the yoke in the next size and then decide which one to carry on with. Sometimes there are too many decisions to make! So far I’m loving the stitch definition in the lace (the photo makes it look like a shrivelled up duster as I’m not blocking it until I’ve decided which size to make!)
What are you working on this week? Have you rebelled and cast on an extra project even when you knew you shouldn’t?
What an unusual colour for the cardigan, it’s great. I’ve been putting off making a 70th birthday card for my father in law, I’m completely lacking inspiration! I’ve been busy crocheting a Pegasus, though, after about 20 false starts he’s got half a body so far

I find masculine cards hard. At least with a number though you can just make a big number and design it around that! (Unless he’s sensitive about being 70!)

That mustard colour is beautiful! I need a jumper in that yarn! I’ve been very good and worked on a scarf pattern for the blog, despite the fact that what I really want to do is play with the 2 new sets of yarn I bought! Must resist!

Honestly it’s so lovely to work with, the cotton gives it a nice cool feel. It’s hard to resist when there’s pretty yarn waiting isn’t It?

I’ve definitely been thinking about it, but so far have resisted! I love the color you’ve chosen for Lush!

Thank you. It’s hard to resist starting something new, I’m going to finish something before I start anything else now.

Not cast on, but I started another Christmas form-a-line card set simple because it was too hot to knit!

That mustard is beautiful and I love the pattern from the look of it so far too. I am desperately trying to stop myself from starting my top before I’ve finished the blanket I am working on but it is very hard!

Thank you, I only let myself start it as I had waited for payday to buy the pattern and I made myself a promise I could cast on as soon as I bought it. 😊

The socks are going well, I’d love to see the stitch markers. I never would have thought of making a mustard yellow lace cardigan, it looks great! 😊

Love the mustard colour. Only 4 projects – that’s controlled! I started two more this week …. not sure how many that makes on the go!
