It’s freezing outside, so staying indoors and working on projects (apart from the days where I’ve had to get to work in the snow) has been a perfect plan. I’ll apologise now for the rubbish photos-I normally take them in the conservatory but it is too cold out there and the snow on the roof makes it darker in there as well. Hopefully next week I’ll get better ones!
I’ve completed the main part of the Bertie baby blanket, and am now working on a linen stitch border. I think it may be a bit tight in the corners, but I’m planning on pinning it out and steaming it very gently which will hopefully help. I’m undecided at the moment about how many rounds to work, I’ll probably just carry on until I’m happy that it’s done.
I’ve also worked about 8 rounds on Hermione’s everyday socks. It doesn’t actually equate to much in length as it’s fine yarn and I’m using 2.5mm needles, but I decided to keep going with them as I like the pattern and hand knit socks have proved very handy in this weather so it’ll be nice to have more ready for next winter.
That’s all for this week, I am pleased with progress so far though. I think the blanket will be done by the end of the week, and then I’ll probably dig out an old WIP to carry on with alongside the socks.
What have you been working on this week? Have you got multiple WIPs or are you just working on one thing?
Socks! And a blanket! Go you!!!

Don’t you feel blessed when you can see the light at the end of the tunnel.? My week started slow and has continued slow. Monday I kept the three little girls most of the day. Then it rained so couldn’t work outside. I’m learning how to make paper lilies. Fun. Will post when I’m pretty sure I’ve got it.

Oh definitely, so glad it’s nearly done. Paper lilies sound fab, I’ve just downloaded a cutting file for a paper cactus.

That blanket is just so sweet! I love everything about it; the interesting pattern, the beautiful colors and the simple border. Really, really beautiful. And perfect for a boy or girl. The sock is coming along nicely. Love all the changing colors. So sorry to hear you have snow. We are expecting 4-6 inches of the nasty white stuff today, after having several wonderful days in the 50 degree range. Ugh. I just wish Mother Nature would get on with Spring already. What am I working on?… I finished a block on the Passione Ricamo cross stitch and started a new project π I will post about them today. Stay inside and stay warm and have fun crafting π

Two beautiful projects. I have started a jumper which I only seem to get a few rows done at swimming lessons at the moment. Hopefully only a few more weeks of working 5 days a week – I need some of my crafty time back! π

I love the colours on this blanket – off setting the yellow against the grey is perfect. I’m glad that the snow has melted now. Its lovely when it’s soft and fluffy but no fun when it turns to ice.

Thank you so much for the nomination! I think the colours go well and they seem a popular choice for gender neutral nurseries.
