This week provided me with plenty of craft time, thanks to some snowy days when it wasn’t safe to drive anywhere. The snow is now long gone, but I have a finished object to show for it (Friday post coming up!), and I’ve made progress on two other projects.
I decided to keep going with the socks, even though the texture pattern didn’t show up brilliantly. Whilst we were cooped up at home, the sock was a perfect pick up and put down project. I’ve now turned the heel and am onto the foot, though I think it’ll take a while to get that done. The texture now shows up more clearly, especially in natural light (it doesn’t look as clear in the photo). I’ve also worked my first eye of partridge heel and discovered that it is much easier to pick up stitches along a garter stitch edge.
I also dug out an old WIP, deciding that I needed to finish that before I begin anything new. (Pressure from my son to finish his blanket instead of making baby blankets might also have something to do with it!) My attic 24 cosy stripe blanket in camouflage colours has been packed away since last summer when it got to hot to work on it. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I had done before it got tucked away under the bed, and I’ve worked a couple more rows this week.
I’m now on a mission to finish a project before starting any more. (I’m not promising there won’t be a few small Easter projects in between though!)
What are you working on this week? Have you got many WIPs tucked away waiting to be finished? Feel free to share a link in the comments.
