Yarn crafts have taken a back seat this week thanks to a glorious bank holiday weekend spent mainly at the allotment. I have squeezed in a little bit of time though-mainly sock knitting whilst waiting for the laptop to work!
The seaside stash busting blanket by Coastal Crochet has only had a pitiful 2 or 3 rows added. However, it’s all progress at the end of the day.
The Easy Lace sock has been a bit more successful as I’ve worked a row or two every time I’ve been waiting for the laptop to load or update. (There have been a lot of technical issues this week so I’m almost at the point of turning the heel!) I’m really pleased with my slip stitch heel, as it’s the first time I’ve knitted one. Also I’ve manged to knit lace with no frogging (even if it was only a 6 stitch repeat and not too technical, for me that’s an achievement!)
As well as yarn crafts, I’ve been working on some designs on my Silhouette Cameo 3. Mr C asked me to make something for his workmate, and once it has been safely delivered I’ll share a photo! (This is one of the reasons for the sock getting so long as my laptop did not like the software.)
I need to do an allotment post at some point, as my attention turned towards planting this week and some miracles have happened in the conservatory!
What have you been working on? Has the recent lovely weather (at least in the UK) meant you’ve spent less time crafting? Please share!
Your stash buster is so pretty. Iβm afraid if I tried to put together a stash buster, my yarn would not coordinate half so well.

Lol! It’s really hard to try and make it work, I’ve left a few colours out as they don’t go.

The sock looks amazing, lace knitting is equivalent to rocket science to me! Now that more of the blanket is finished, I can see that all the ripple patterns look a lot like waves, hence the name of the blanket. The colours look very beachy, too! π

Thank you, it’s a lovely project. My scrap yarns are fairly beachy thanks to making a lot of rainbow coloured and baby boy blankets!

the blanket is looking good! The sock is lovely. I find knitting tedious but I really do fancy trying a pair of socks.

Thank you, socks are fab as although they use fine yarn and needles they are easy to pick up and put down and before you know it they’re done.

Been doing this and that …. but enough about me ….
…. The seaside stash busting blanket . . . . I want, I Want, I WANT, I WANT, I WANT!!!!
If you’re making that one to sell, please put my name on it. I’d buy it in a heartbeat. I absolutely love it.
It’s made with ‘HAPPY’ in every single stitch, and I really don’t think I could love it more than I do right this second. It’s truly fabulous.
(this is where the heartbreak arrives when you tell me that you’re making it for your Great Aunts, daughter’s, nieces, best friends Grandma’s dog!
On another note …. Can’t wait to hear what the miracles are which have happened in the conservatory!!!
Till next time … sending oodles of squidges ~ Cobs. xxx β€

You do make me laugh! Sadly my blanket is not of a sellable quality but I’m glad you like it. It’s such a lovely project to work on. As for the conservatory, I shall be photographing the little miracles but I need to tidy the patio first as you can see it in the conservatory photos π. Hope you’ve had a lovely weekend. X

Ah, who cares about the patio. Stick a bit of paper up against the window and we won’t be able to see it then! π Problem solved!! π
The blanket isn’t of “sellable quality”? But … But …. I LOVES IT!!! It looks incredible and I want, want, want to buy it from you.
Tell the twuf… you can’t bear to part with it, can you?
(seriously Mrs.C… I would love to buy it, but it’s ok if you want to keep it. I can totally understand why – for it’s the most incredible thing).
Sending much love and many squidges ~ Cobs. xxx

I’d never really considered selling it, but (sad as it sounds) I don’t think I could part with it as so many of the scraps have memories. Ridiculous I know as it’s just yarn, but some was leftover from my children’s baby blankets. I feel honoured that you think it’s lovely enough to buy though! X

I can fully understand how you would feel about it, Mrs.C. Totally understandable. Totally.
(just remember though … if you ever change your mind … my name is on it and I really would buy it from you.)
Sending BIG love to you and all the Crafts. ~ Cobs. xxx β€
