I haven’t written a WIP post for two weeks, but at least this one will show some progress! The last week has been a bit busy with a tonne of cards to make for Father’s Day, birthdays and anniversaries. Yarn crafts have yet again been put on the back burner, but I did manage some car knitting on a day trip out! (Most of the progress here is from the week before last, but I was too busy to write a post!)
I’ll start with my knitting project as I’m very pleased to have finished sock no1. I did a different toe to the one in the pattern, trying out a round toe using hat style decreases so I could cinch the last few stitches together rather than grafting. I think the yarn was the perfect choice for this pattern as it has a subtle variation in colour but still allows the pattern to stand out.
I’ve also completed up to half way through part 18 of the Coastal Crochet CAL. I’m planning on getting stuck in a bit more now I haven’t got any more cards to make. I ‘may’ have bought another ball of yarn, defeating the object of a stashbusting blanket completely but it was such a pretty colour that I had to buy it.
I’m hoping to catch up soon so I can start another project, I’ve no idea what that will be but I really want to start something new so I’m keeping an eye out.
What are you working on this week? Has the hot weather affected your crafting? It’s so humid here, I’m desperate for a good thunderstorm!
It would be fun to see some of your cards since that is what I do. The socks look great. There are two of them ….right.?
My time has been in the craft room later after being out in the hoop house whwile it is still sort of cool. (The hoop is never really cool in the summer) I do have good news…the lemon tree is still alive.

Only one sock so far but I have cast on the other one. I should photograph my cards more, I’m always in such a rush that I complete them then have to deliver them. I’ll try to take photos from now on π

Thank you for the lovely comment, I’m enjoying the blanket. As some colours run out I’m having to put yarns together that don’t really go but I’m hopeful it will work out.
